Knoth Footwear - Outlast AU

Part of an Outlast AU in which Sullivan Knoth's shoe salesman gig succeeded, and thus he did not end up becoming cult leader of Temple Gate, or maybe, by some twist of reality, he still did...

Knoth Footwear shows up as a shop in my crackfic Waylon Was Always Beautiful, and will be a plot-important setting in its upcoming sequel [and Fifty Shades crossover] Christian was Always Fucked-Up. The shop's main concept is that of floating [visually represented in the chairs, the minimalistic white shelves, the drop ceiling, and the glass backing of the logo], and all Knoth Footwear branches have the glass floor/water-like texture in the middle which customers can walk on, reminiscent of Jesus walking on water. There are also other subtle forms of Christian imagery in the shop, such as the green, circular chairs which represent advent wreaths, as well as the logo which resembles an Ezekiel wheel. The lights above the 'water' represent the Pentecost tongues of fire.

As an aside, the richest man in the Philippines, the owner of SM Supermalls, used to be a shoe salesman just like Knoth. Go figure.
